Marc Marquez threw down the gauntlet in the MotoGP Sprint at Misano in Italy, winning by more than a second at the checkered flag, as Jorge Martin took a valuable third-place podium. 

Fabio Di Giannantonio was fourth at his home race, Alex Marquez fifth, Pedro Acosta sixth, and Raul Fernandez seventh, all Alpinestars riders.
